Wine-growing practices :
The winery adopts traditional vineyard management, with a density of 8,000 to 9,000 vines per hectare, and is HVE3 certified, testifying to a reasoned and meticulous approach to vine maintenance.
Winemaking method:
The estate’s winemaking philosophy focuses on the authentic expression of the terroir and the grapes. Combining traditional and modern techniques, the process includes mechanised harvesting and the use of a latest model of sorting table to select the best from the harvest, followed by an fermentation and pumping-over process, without punching down.
Situated in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, the Vallée des Vaux, between Givry and Mercurey, offers a hilly landscape with clay-limestone soils and sandy areas.
The estate, characterised by its hillside vineyards and a few plots on steep terrain, benefits from a preserved ecosystem reflecting the authenticity of historic Bourgogne. This region, less exposed than its neighbours, attracts lovers of authentic wines rooted in a unique natural terroir.
